Perhaps our most successful event yet! The 4th Annual Cruiser Palooza had some changes that made it an even more incredible event! This year instead of at our cousin Kristi’s house, it was held at The Delray Beach Playhouse on NW 9th Street in Delray!

A poster of Cruise sat center stage as always for everyone to sign as they entered. The lobby and outside patio were lined with over 100 donation items for the silent auction. Donations were gathered from local businesses and went for incredible amounts as the community bid to support Cruise.

Some of the biggest fundraising items included the annual Beach Cruiser from Richwagen’s Bike and Sport Shop customized with Cruise’s dolphin, a custom Cruiser Palooza skateboard from Stoner’s Skateboard Shop, a summer membership at Quail Ridge Golf Club, along with so many other amazing items! Chris Hood did a live auction for a custom Cruise Dolphin surfboard that was donated by Nomad Surf Shop! Many people started out quickly raising the bids, 300, 350… 500, 550… 800… 1000… continuing until the final bid of $1800!! We were all in shock! Amazing!

Outside on the lawn we had the entrance, t-shirt, food, and drink tents, as well as a dining area and fire pit. Volunteers from the playhouse helped serve drinks and as always our family and friends pitched in to coordinate and run an event that catered to over 400 people! Ellie’s Catering provided and served most of the food, along with donations from Quail Ridge and Bru’s Room. Four amazing bands performed on the patio from 5-11 including No Strings Attached, Franscene, Bear In Mind, and The Resolvers. The night ended with Cruise in front of the band and everyone dancing and enjoying the music around him.

A 7 Night Caribbean Cruise was donated by Celebrity Cruise Lines for the second year in a row, and after selling raffle tickets at $100 each, we raised almost $9,000!

As you may have noticed we have made some changes to our website, the newest addition is a STORE where you can purchase Cruise’s T-Shirts, cookbooks and Dolphin Sea Bags ONLINE! We also have a new donation system where you can pick any amount you would like to donate online! All of these transactions go through PayPal but you do not have to have an account with PayPal to complete the transactions.
