The Second Annual Cruiser Palooza was another huge success! Our cousin Kristi and her husband Ellery hosted the event at their house in Delray and along with an amazing group of friends and supporters created an incredible event. We received many donations from local businesses and individuals including raffle and auction items, food, music, tarot card readings, and time and energy to put this event together!
Raffle and auction items included artwork, jewelry, custom skateboards, rounds of golf, massage and spa certificates, restaurant certificates, bags and a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas, just to name a few! We had a great turnout and raised about $33,000! These funds will go toward covering the cost of the gym and other medical expenses for Cruise. (See the About Spinal Cord Injury page for details about yearly costs for quadriplegics and Cruise’s actual costs).
So many people to thank for this incredible event, first and foremost Kristi and Ellery Vick for their constant support and energy for our family and this project, Liz and Billy Bold, Don and Joanne Nolan, JoAnna and Tim Steele, Mo and Doug Evans, No Strings Attached, Judy Blem, Ruling Mercury, Nobody’s Fault, Woodrow Vick, Gina Bender, icruise, Richwagon’s Cycle Center, Stoner Skateboards, Quail Ridge Country Club, Joe Davis and everyone else who contributed to this event! We are incredibly grateful for all of your kindness and generosity, thank you, thank you, thank you! Stay tuned for next year! – The Johnston Bogle’s
