Neuroxcel
In August 2009 Cruise starting going to Neuroxcel in North Palm Beach. Neuroxcel is a gym specifically for spinal cord injuries and stroke victims, and few facilities in the country that come close to the experience they offer. For the past few years, with a break along the way, Cruise has been working out at Neuroxcel to build strength in the muscles that he does have connection to, as well as encourage new neurological pathways to occur to the rest of his body. Neuroxcel has also provided a community around SCI and support for Cruise as he works hard at recovery.
NEUROXCEL provides its clients the opportunity to recover their greatest possible degree of recovery and personal independence by providing cutting-edge technologies, gait strengthening equipment and one of the most comprehensive activity-based strength training programs available. They work with Cruise on strengthening the muscles that he can move voluntarily but also use electric stimulation and other equipment to use all of his muscle groups. This physical activity helps to prevent muscle atrophy, promote circulation, maintain bone density and will help Cruise in his recovery process.

The Brucker Biofeedback Center
In August of 2010 Cruise took a break from Neuroxcel to do biofeedback in Miami through the end of the year. The Brucker Biofeedback Method is designed to facilitate and conditon activity allowing for re-education of muscles and patterns. Using an Electromyography Biofeedback System that measures muscle potentials signals are detected and converted into audio/visual signals used to reinforce voluntary control.
The Conde Center
Cruise is now also going several times a week to The Conde Center for Chiropractic Neurology. Dr. Conde works with Cruise doing many different Neurological exercises to stimulate new neurological pathways from the brain to the rest of Cruise’s body. These therapies are very “outside the box” and have added another great component of therapy to Cruise’s daily road to recovery.
